Thank you for dropping in, I hope you'll find a lot to like here.
Let me take a minute to tell you a little bit about why I started making soaps. I've lived here in the desert southwest for over 10 years now and my skin was always dry, flaking and begging for moisture and nourishment. I would slather on tons of lotion at least twice a day. Shortly after moving to Golden Valley I did find a pure Olive Oil soap that helped a little.

A few years back a dear friend adopted an orphaned BLM burro. Zippity was just over a week old. She had been milking her goats and making cheese and yogurt. Somehow, once Zippity arrived, we began talking about making goat milk soaps. Though we never did make any together, she has supplied some of the goat milk used in my soaps. I did some research and found that there are other oils and things that can be added to soap to improve a lot on that plain Olive Oil soap I had been buying.
Since making my own soap, I rarely need to use lotion. I try to include oils and additives that are nourishing for our skin and provide moisture to keep it healthy.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
